Vermont

After the American Revolution succeeded in driving British influence from the Thirteen Colonies, the Republic of Vermont was founded. From 1777 to 1791 Vermont was an independent nation that took for its flag that of its militia, a green field with an azure canton and 13 white stars within. With some significant modification I have adapted that flag into this one, a far, far, far better flag than the current one that placed 61st in a survey of 72 state and provincial flags. It evokes the Betsy Ross flag with the circle of stars.
